Hair Loss
Male pattern hair loss is the most common form of hair
loss, representing close to 95% of all cases of hair loss
in men. And about half of all men experience male pattern
hair loss by age 50. So if you have male pattern hair loss,
you are certainly not alone.
If you are going bald you should consider using Propecia
(Finasteride) to halt or even reverse your hair loss.
While there is no Hair Loss Cure, hair loss drugs
like Propecia can often stop or even reverse alopecia in most
people.
Studies have shown that almost 80% of men using Propecia
stopped or even reversed their hair loss to some degree.
Propecia (Finasteride) Can Stop Hair Loss
Baldness, whether permanent or temporary, can't be cured.
But treatments are available to help promote hair growth or
hide hair loss. For some types of alopecia, hair may resume
growth without any treatment.
In November 1997, Merck has satisfied the panel of scientific
advisors (to the FDA) that Propecia (1mg finasteride) is effective
in treating hair loss. In December 1997, the FDA officially
approved the drug Propeica as the first ever anti-baldness
pill in the world.
Oral finasteride is available in 5mg
dosage under the brand name Proscar (for treatment of benign
prostate enlargement) or in 1mg dosage under the brand
name Propecia. The recommended dosage for the treatment of
male pattern hair loss (androgenetic alopecia) is Propecia
(Finasteride) 1mg orally once a day.
